We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a growing technology and transformation function supporting large-scale change initiatives within the insurance sector.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering business-critical programmes across policy administration, integration, and target-state transformation initiatives. You’ll operate at the intersection of business and technology—translating complex requirements into practical solutions while helping shape strategic outcomes.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will lead requirements definition and support delivery across complex application and platform programmes. You will partner with business stakeholders, architects, solution designers, project teams, and technical delivery teams to ensure solutions align with operational goals and enterprise architecture.

Current programmes include major integration and transformation initiatives involving system consolidation, target-state operating models, and migration from legacy platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business and functional requirements gathering for complex technology projects and strategic initiatives.
• Translate business needs into high-quality documentation including:
  • Business requirements
  • Functional requirements
  • User stories
  • Process maps
  • Data flows
  • Traceability matrices
  • Report mock-ups
  • Use cases
• Facilitate workshops, requirements sessions, review meetings, and stakeholder presentations.
• Challenge requirements constructively and identify opportunities to improve business outcomes and process effectiveness.
• Work closely with architects and solution designers to understand:
  • Solution architecture
  • System integrations
  • APIs
  • Data movement across platforms
• Support end-to-end project delivery across the full SDLC in both Agile and traditional governance environments.
• Collaborate with development and testing teams to ensure requirements are implemented effectively and leverage existing platform capabilities.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including planning, test script development, execution, and sign-off.
• Build strong relationships across business and technology teams in global locations.
• Provide guidance and leadership to junior Business Analysts where required.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience

• 7+ years’ experience as an IT Business Analyst within the insurance industry.
• Strong insurance domain expertise, including:
  • Underwriting processes
  • Submission–Quote–Bind lifecycle
  • Pricing concepts
  • Policy administration
• Extensive experience working with policy administration platforms
• Strong understanding of delivering technology-enabled change within enterprise IT environments.
• Experience across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Hands-on experience writing business requirements and user stories.
• Experience working across both:
  • Agile delivery models
  • Traditional / waterfall delivery approaches
• Ability to engage confidently with:
  • Architects
  • Solution designers
  • Technical delivery teams
  • Business leadership

Technical & Delivery Capability

• Strong understanding of:
  • Solution architecture
  • Systems integration
  • APIs
  • Enterprise applications
  • End-to-end delivery lifecycles
• Comfortable discussing technical dependencies and cross-platform impacts without being a software developer.
• Experience delivering application and platform projects rather than infrastructure-only initiatives.
• Proven ability to create concise, high-quality documentation aligned to business outcomes.
