We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager (PMO) to join a Group-wide Portfolio Management Office, playing a key role in shaping and optimising an enterprise-wide change portfolio.

This is a high-impact position responsible for overseeing delivery across a diverse portfolio of strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will embed robust portfolio management processes, enhance governance, and drive data-led prioritisation and decision-making at senior stakeholder level.

As Portfolio Manager, you will:

  • Oversee portfolio delivery, ensuring clear visibility of progress, risks, dependencies, financials, and benefits
  • Embed and continuously improve portfolio governance frameworks and reporting standards
  • Provide transparent, high-quality reporting to support informed executive decision-making
  • Support and coach stakeholders and delivery teams on business case development, governance processes, and best practices
  • Facilitate governance forums such as Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
  • Manage interdependencies, risks, and resource demands across the portfolio
  • Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control aligned to funding models
  • Conduct stage gate reviews in line with the Change Management Framework
  • Drive improvements in capacity and resource management capability
  • Identify synergies and resolve conflicts between change priorities and business-as-usual activities

Experience required:

  • Strong PMO and portfolio management experience, ideally within Financial Services or a regulated environment
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level governance and change frameworks
  • Confidence facilitating senior stakeholder forums and QBRs
  • Expertise in portfolio prioritisation, pipeline management, and benefits tracking
  • Solid financial management knowledge (budgets, forecasts, financial cycles)
  • Experience with PPM tools (e.g., Planview AdaptiveWork or similar), along with JIRA, Confluence, and MS Office tools
  • Knowledge of delivery methodologies such as MSP, Prince2, SDLC, Scrum, or SAFe
  • A strong understanding of P3M theory and PMO best practice, including maturity models
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate comfortably in a corporate environment

This role would suit a proactive, data-driven portfolio professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about driving delivery excellence across complex change portfolios.
